Greta Menzies is an artist living in Pōneke Wellington, Aotearoa NZ, with her partner and three children. Her multidisciplinary practice sits at the intersection of art and design.
Greta's art practice is based in drawing, painting, ceramics and video. Recent work explores the psychology of belief, absurdist philosophy and mysticism.
She also works commercially as a designer & illustrator for product, print and animation. Trained in textile design with a focus on Illustration, Greta is an expert in creating repeat-patterns, and works regularly for Thunderpants NZ, USA & UK, and freelance for other clients.
Greta teaches ceramic handbuilding at KMC Studio in Wellington, and occational workshops at tertiary institutions, galleries and in the community.
